We know that babies are born learning. The skills they develop in the earliest years through warm and stimulating interactions with family members and caregivers form the foundation on which they build success throughout their lives.
Our Partnership
To support families in this crucial time of growth and development of their babies, we have created Creciendo Juntos: A Preparing For Life program. We are a collaboration between Casa Central, the University of Chicago and Preparing for life.
Creciendo Juntos is serving expectant parents in the Back of the Yards, Bridgeport, Gage Park and {other?} neighborhoods with high quality family service in the form of individualized home visits. Visits from a Creciendo Juntos staff member from Casa Central take place in a family’s home and include discussions about parenting, child development, social services and other topics the family chooses.
Eligibility
Families eligible for our services will be expecting a child and live within the 60609, 60629, and 60632 zip codes. Services are provided primarily in Spanish with bilingual services available as well.
